SwitchBot Permanent Outdoor Lights: 30m Matter-ready RGBIC and white eave lighting for $239.99

SwitchBot announced the SwitchBot Permanent Outdoor Lights on October 20, 2026. The permanently installed system is meant for eaves, porches, balconies, garage entrances, pergolas, patios and walkways, combining seasonal color displays with everyday white illumination so homeowners do not have to hang separate holiday lights.

The 30m kit has 72 LEDs across six 5m segments with a 3-in-1 RGBIC+WW design: RGB color plus dedicated warm-white and cool-white LEDs. Integrated IC control lets multiple colors appear at once for gradients, chasing and flowing effects across 16 million colors. For daily use, the dedicated white LEDs run from 2700K to 6500K with 1% to 100% dimming; SwitchBot says each LED delivers up to 40 lm, for up to 2,600 lm across the whole system.

The lights support Matter over Wi-Fi natively, so they can be added to Matter-compatible smart home platforms, and they can be controlled through the SwitchBot app, supported voice assistants or the included wired controller, which offers physical switching and 10 brightness levels even without Wi-Fi. The app handles colors, white temperature, dynamic effects, scenes, schedules and timers, and a built-in microphone enables music-reactive lighting. A SwitchBot Remote is sold separately.

Rated for -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C), the system is designed for year-round outdoor use, with a rated LED lifespan of up to 55,000 hours.
