Apple Watch Series 10

iPhone-locked daily-driver pick — thinnest case yet, 1.96-inch always-on OLED, Apple Pay + ECG + atrial fibrillation notification, sleep apnea notifications, large third-party app library. Apple rates the battery at up to 18 hours (36 in Low Power Mode), so you charge daily; pairs only with iPhone, switching to Android retires the watch.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is the obvious daily-driver pick for iPhone owners and one of the most polished smart watches in this comparison. The 1.96-inch always-on OLED is the widest in the lineup, the case is roughly 10% thinner than Series 9, and FDA-cleared ECG plus atrial fibrillation notification, sleep apnea notifications, and blood oxygen tracking (restored on US units in August 2025, with the result calculated on the paired iPhone; units sold elsewhere were not affected) cover the meaningful health features. Apple Pay means it works at stores and transit gates, and the third-party watch app library is large. Apple rates the battery at up to 18 hours (36 in Low Power Mode), so daily charging is the price of admission. It does not pair with Android at all — switching phone platforms effectively retires the watch. For iPhone households committed to the Apple ecosystem, it is the right answer.
