ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro

The no-compromise enthusiast and gaming flagship — quad-band BE30000 Wi-Fi 7 with two 6 GHz bands, two 10 Gbps ports, four 2.5 Gbps ports, gaming acceleration, and subscription-free AiProtection Pro and AiMesh. Overkill unless you own Wi-Fi 7 devices or multi-gig gear.

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro is the no-compromise enthusiast and gaming router — a quad-band BE30000 Wi-Fi 7 flagship with two 6 GHz bands that support 320 MHz channels, so Wi-Fi 7 gaming devices can get a 6 GHz lane largely to themselves. Two 10 Gbps ports (one WAN/LAN, one LAN) and four 2.5 Gbps ports make it the only router here ready for internet plans faster than 2.5 Gbps and for 10 Gbps wired gear. It layers on a dedicated gaming port, Game Boost and WTFast acceleration, and the same subscription-free AiProtection Pro and AiMesh as the RT-AX88U Pro. It's the most expensive router here by a wide margin, its eight external antennas make it large, and the Wi-Fi 7 and 6 GHz advantages only apply to compatible devices. But for low-latency gaming, Wi-Fi 7 hardware, and every advanced feature with no recurring fee, it's the top of the stack.
