Hardwood toddler table set with chairs arriving pre-assembled. Smooth lacquer surface is the easiest to clean on any wood set. Denser construction than pine alternatives.
The Melissa & Doug Wooden Table & 2 Chairs Set ships mostly pre-assembled — the table has legs to attach, the chairs are done. Hardwood construction is noticeably denser and more stable than IKEA's pine; the chairs don't flex or creak under use. The smooth lacquer surface is the easiest to clean on any wood set on this list — owners report dried washable paint wiping off with a damp sponge, no scrubbing required. The price premium over IKEA is real but justified if you plan to use the set for multiple children over many years.
