Budget joint supplement with 500mg glucosamine, 200mg chondroitin and 500mg MSM per three soft chews, plus green-lipped mussel, collagen, boswellia, yucca and hyaluronic acid. Suited to smaller dogs or multi-dog households.
NaturVet Senior Advanced Joint Health soft chews provide 500mg glucosamine, 200mg chondroitin and 500mg MSM per three soft chews, plus smaller amounts of green-lipped mussel, collagen, boswellia, yucca and hyaluronic acid. Per chew that is well below Cosequin's tablet, so a larger dog needs several chews a day. It is the budget option in this group for owners supplementing more than one dog; per-dose cost varies by pack size, so compare current prices. For a large dog with active joint problems, see your vet — omega-3 and prescription pain relief have stronger evidence than any of these chews.
Pros
- Lowest price per dose in the group
- Soft chew format with good palatability
Cons
- Lower per-chew doses — 500mg glucosamine takes three chews
- Best suited for maintenance, not active joint disease management
