Pottery Barn's Seabury is a fully upholstered rolled-arm chair with a high back and generous cushioning โ the traditional American comfortable armchair design. The seat is wide (32 inches) and deep (21 inches), making it the most comfortable pure lounging chair in this group if you have the room for it. Available in dozens of fabric options including performance fabrics and a range of leg finishes. The construction is consistent with Pottery Barn's furniture quality standard: solid and durable. It's the right chair for a reading corner in a traditional or transitional home where comfort is the primary requirement.
Pros
- Wide 32-inch seat and high back prioritize comfort over design efficiency
- Extensive fabric and leg finish customization options
- High-density foam cushion maintains loft under daily use
Cons
- Large footprint โ requires more room space than minimal alternatives
- Traditional rolled-arm design limits appeal in modern or minimal rooms
