B+Best UV Purifier
The SteriPen Ultra uses UV light to kill 99.9999% of bacteria, protozoa, and viruses in 90 seconds — faster than chemical tablets and without the taste. At 4.5oz it's lightweight, and it charges via USB. The catch is that UV doesn't work in turbid water — pre-filter with a bandana if water is murky.
Pros
- Kills viruses, bacteria, and protozoa via UV
- USB rechargeable battery
- No chemical taste or waiting period
- Treats 0.5L in 48 seconds, 1L in 90 seconds
Cons
- Ineffective in turbid water without pre-filtration
- Battery required — dead battery means no purification
