The Uniqlo Blocktech Trench is the surprise upset. Three-layer waterproof/breathable fabric with fully-taped seams — the same construction Uniqlo uses in their parkas, applied to a minimalist trench silhouette. At $130 it's a quarter the price of the Everlane and outperforms it on waterproofing by a wide margin. The trade-off is the look: it reads as modern technical outerwear rather than heritage trench. If you want function and don't need the heritage signal, this is the obvious pick.
