15-20 mmHg is the travel-recommended range. Below 15 is barely felt; above 20 is medical-grade and unnecessarily tight for healthy travelers. Sockwell, Comrad, Copper Fit, and VIM & VIGR sit in this range. Physix Gear at 20-30 mmHg is medical-grade — overkill for most.

Graduated compression is critical. Pressure should be highest at ankle, decreasing toward knee. All five tested are graduated; some Amazon-direct compression socks are uniformly compressed (which can worsen circulation).

14-hour flight results
