📋How we compared
We did not try these products ourselves. Judging them properly takes weeks of daily use, which we cannot run. This comparison is built from the product titles and feature lists on the Amazon US listings, retrieved through the Amazon Creators API on November 3, 2026, and general knowledge of the product type. Sizes, capacities and every other statement are the sellers' own claims. Prices move often, so check the retailer. We make no claim about how well any spray works or how safe it is. We only relay what each listing says, so read the product label, and ask a doctor or pharmacist about children, pregnancy or skin conditions.

Active ingredient
OFF! Clean Feel and Sawyer Premium list 20% picaridin, OFF! Deep Woods lists 25% DEET, and Repel is described as a DEET-free lemon eucalyptus formula. Sawyer Permethrin is a different kind of product, because the listing is for treating clothing and gear rather than skin.
The ingredient matters mostly for the label rules: ages, where to apply it and how often. The label has the details, and a doctor or pharmacist can answer questions about children or pregnancy.
Format and size
Two listings are 4 oz pump bottles, two are aerosols (6 oz for Deep Woods, 4 oz for Repel), and the permethrin product is an aerosol for gear. Pumps are easier to apply in a measured way, while aerosols spray in a wider cloud. Follow the label's instructions for each.
Protection times as the listings state them
The listings state up to 8 hours for OFF! Clean Feel, up to 12 hours for Sawyer Premium and up to 6 hours for Repel, while Deep Woods gives no figure. These are sellers' own statements and we have no way to confirm them, so treat them as what the listing says and follow the label.
