Insta360 launches Mic, an E-Ink wireless microphone with a microSD slot, from $139.99

Insta360 launched Insta360 Mic on October 22, 2026. It sits between the flagship Mic Pro and the entry-level Mic Air, and Insta360 calls it its first customizable E-Ink wireless mic with expandable storage.

The transmitter's E-Ink display can show an image the user uploads, such as a channel logo, an emoji or a pet. A microSD slot allows optional onboard recording, including 32-bit float audio, as a backup to what the camera or phone records. Without a card, the mic still records over Bluetooth or through the receiver.

A dedicated AI audio processing chip runs the noise canceling. There are two automatic gain modes (Auto and Dynamic) and three voice tone presets (Regular, Rich and Bright). One receiver can take up to four transmitters, and Mic and Mic Pro transmitters can be mixed on the same receiver. Two transmitters can also send audio to up to four receivers for multicamera shoots.

Each transmitter runs up to 13 hours per charge, or up to 34 hours with the charging case. Through Insta360 Direct Connect, the transmitter pairs over Bluetooth with the Insta360 X6, X5, Luna Ultra, Luna Pro, GO Ultra and Ace Pro 2 without a receiver.

Prices are US$249.99 for two transmitters and one receiver, US$139.99 for one transmitter and one receiver, and US$79.99 for a single transmitter.
