Apple announces Home Collection with LG and Schneider Electric: smart cameras, lock and thermostats from $39.95, available from December

Apple announced Apple Home Collection on October 13, 2026, a new lineup of smart home accessories designed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. It includes indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell and a door lock. Apple says the accessories are set up with one tap from an iPhone and managed in the Apple Home app, with no separate app or account required.

LG supplies four cameras: a Video Doorbell with a 2.5K front camera and a full HD bottom camera, a Floodlight Cam, an Outdoor Cam and an Indoor Cam that tilts to adjust its view. Each camera captures up to 2.5K video and recognizes people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages. Apple says video history is stored in a supported iCloud+ plan, with 10 days of event history, so there is no separate camera subscription.

The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock uses Ultra Wideband to unlock automatically as a user with a home key on a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch approaches the door. It also has a PIN pad and a hidden backup key slot, is Matter compatible and supports Aliro. Two Smart Thermostats are offered, one from LG and one from Schneider Electric, along with standalone temperature and humidity sensors from both companies. Apple says the thermostats and sensors are Matter compatible and work with a broad range of HVAC systems.

In the U.S., the LG Video Doorbell Wired starts at $249.95, the LG Floodlight Cam at $399.95, the LG Outdoor Cam Plug-In at $299.95 and the LG Indoor Cam Plug-In at $199.95. The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock starts at $349.95, the LG Smart Thermostat and the Schneider Home Smart Thermostat each start at $199.95, and the LG Temperature Sensor and Schneider Home Room Sensor each start at $39.95.

Apple says Apple Home Collection will be available starting in December at apple.com/store, in the Apple Store app and at Apple Store locations, with select accessories available starting early 2027. The cameras are listed for the U.S., Canada and the UK; the lock, thermostats and sensors for the U.S. and Canada.
