Apple announced the next generation of Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026. The company calls the model Apple TV 4K (4th generation). U.S. pricing is $299, pre-orders opened the same day, and Apple says it will be available in stores beginning Friday, November 13.

The box moves to the A19 chip. Apple states up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and up to 2x faster GPU performance than the previous generation, and says the chip includes a new dedicated AV1 decoder for more efficient streaming that uses less bandwidth.

Three far-field microphones are built in, so viewers can control playback and search by voice without picking up the remote. Apple says echo cancellation isolates the user's voice from background sound so that “Hey Siri” or “Siri” is recognized while audio is playing. The release also describes Siri AI, a new version of Siri that answers in a full-screen view and can take follow-up questions about what is on screen. Siri AI is a beta, and at launch it is available in English in the U.S., Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the UK.

For audio, the new Apple TV 4K can drive a four-speaker surround setup for the first time, using four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers. Apple says the speakers recognize their position in the room and calibrate timing and levels automatically; the front and rear pairs have to match.

The Siri Remote keeps its design and gains Find My support with Precision Finding, plus an option to play a sound on the remote to locate it. Apple notes the remote is also sold separately and works with Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K; the release does not give a separate price for it.

Apple TV 4K continues to work as a home hub with built-in Wi-Fi and Thread. With a compatible doorbell, notifications appear on the TV so users can see and speak with whoever is at the door. The release does not list storage capacities or more than one configuration; it gives a single price of $299.
